May 30th

Dear Parents:

Report cards will go home today. Today is the last day of school for Nursery students and it is also a free Colors Day. Once again thank you for all your hard work and cooperation. We hope you have a great summer!!!

We made it!!!! As the school year comes to an end we would like to thank you for all your hard work, support and cooperation.

* If you have overdue books from the Library please return them by this Wednesday.

* Report Cards will go home on Monday, May 30th.

May 16-20 EVALUATION WEEK

Dear Parents:

Evaluations will be taking place this week and we will also continue with our theme The Ocean. Please refer to last week's post when reviewing with your child at home.

Theme: The Ocean

Concepts and skills: Numbers 0-5. Cutting different types of lines.

Vocabulary: sea horse, octopus, jellyfish, crab, whale, dolphin, turtle, fish, sun, sand.

This week we will cover the following:

Concepts and skills: Numbers 0-5. Cutting different types of lines.

Vocabulary: sea horse, octopus, jellyfish, crab, whale, dolphin, turtle, fish, sun, sand.

Character Education: Patience. Our goal is :"I wait for my turn to speak, when I raise my hand."

Important information:

* This Friday is Colors Day, the cost is Lps.5.

* Sign and send Report Cards back to school if have not done so.

* Evaluations will take place next week, the content to be evaluated is listed below. Please review with your child at home 10-15 minutes a day.

April 11-15 EARTH WEEK

Dear Parents:                                                                     

This week we will cover the following:

Theme: Easter

Concepts and skills: Numbers 0, 1, 2 and 3.


Character Education: Honesty Our goal is: "I respect other people's property."

Important Information:

* Please send Lps.100 inside a labeled envelope with your child's name on it, by this Thursday, April 14th. This money will be invested in the Mother's Day gift.

* Sign and return report cards if you have not done so.

* Progress Reports will go home this Wednesday, April 13th. Please sign and return on Thursday.

* This Thursday, April 14, we will be celebrating Earth Day. We will have a free Colors Day, please have your child wear earth colors on this day (brown, green, blue). We will be learning about how to take care of the Earth and we would like to ask for your cooperation in packing "TRASH FREE" snacks in your child's lunchboxes on this day. This means avoid packing anything with wrappings, juice boxes, paper napkins, etc but do use reusable containers please.


* This Friday we will celebrate Easter and it is also a free Colors Day.


* Easter Break: April 18th- April 25th, classes will resume on Tuesday April 26th. Have a safe Easter Holiday.

* On Saturday March 26th from 8:30 PM - 9:30 PM everybody around the world will be voluntarily turning off the lights and unplugging electronic devices to SAVE THE EARTH. We invite you to do the same

February 28- March 4 Dr. Seuss Week

Dear Parents:
  This week we will reviewing for our third quarter evaluation. Evaluations will take place next week, the content to be evaluated is listed below. Please review with your child at home 15-20 minutes a day.

* Reading Readiness:

Your child should be able to name and recognize colors and shapes. Your child should also be able to recognize his/her first name.

Colors: red, blue, yellow, green, orange, brown, black, white, pink, purple, gray.

Shapes: square, circle, triangle, rectangle, diamond, heart and oval.

* Language Development:

Your child should be able to name the vocabulary for the following themes:
  • Transportation
  • Careers
  • Sports
  • Feelings and Valentines
* Physical Development:
Your child should be able to color within the lines and cut paper (snipping).

* To raise funds for the Alzheimer's Association, a T-Shirt Tie Dye activity will be held on February 17th. Each shirt will have a cost of Lps. 100.00. If your child will participate, please send the amount due in an envelope labeled with his/her name and grade.

* Yearbook pictures will be taken in February. Children must wear their complete school uniform on that day. Please take note of this important date to be sure your child attends school.
